What are the daily maintenance methods for construction scaffolding?

I. Maintenance Matters During Scaffolding Erection and Use

1. After a scaffolding system is erected, a dedicated person should conduct daily structural inspections of the scaffolding. This includes checking for sagging or loosening of the uprights and walkway boards, checking for slippage or loosening of all fasteners on the scaffolding structure, and ensuring that every component of the scaffolding structure is complete and intact.

2. The scaffolding foundation must be properly drained. After every rain, the scaffolding foundation must be thoroughly inspected to prevent water accumulation and sinking.

3. The construction load on the working level of the scaffolding must not exceed 270 kg/m2. Crossbars, guy cables, etc. must not be fixed to the scaffolding, and heavy objects must not be hung on the scaffolding structure.

4. After a scaffolding system is erected, no one is allowed to arbitrarily remove any component. 5. Scaffolding operations should be suspended immediately when encountering winds exceeding force 6, heavy fog, heavy rain, or heavy snow. Before resuming work, the scaffolding must be inspected and confirmed to be in good condition.

II. Precautions for Equipment Use During Scaffolding Erection

1. Scaffolding pipes with an outer diameter of 48mm and 51mm steel pipes and wooden planks must not be mixed.

2. At the main nodes of the scaffolding, the centerline of fasteners securing horizontal or vertical horizontal bars, scissor braces, and transverse supports must be no more than 150mm from the main node.

3. The end of each scaffolding member must extend no less than 140mm beyond the edge of the fastener cover.

4. The openings of butt fasteners should face inward, with the bolts facing upward. The openings of right-angle fasteners must not face downward to ensure safety.

5. All personnel working on scaffolding must be certified, wear hard hats, and fasten safety belts. 6. All personnel working on the scaffolding must strictly follow the erection plan.

7. During erection, wall ties and scissor braces must be installed promptly, with no delay exceeding two steps.

8. During the erection process, pay attention to adjusting the scaffolding's verticality, with a maximum allowable deviation of 100mm.
